The new telescope, slightly used ….?
I just received a Meade Polaris uses a garage sale for $ 20. The goal seems well except when I look through it everything is reversed. Is that normal for telescopes? Any advice on how to enjoy it …. I I have never used one before and know nothing about them other than to look through the eyepiece.
Yes, it is normal to telescopes for astronomy. One there is no up or down in space, and two additional lenses needed to make the image appear in the same orientation as the additional costs money and expense of image quality, and astronomy, image quality is everything – you can not get enough of it. Do not worry, you get pretty fast usd. I have a reflector (Newton Dob in a forest). For those who do, only the image is rotated, but is 90 degrees from the direction you are looking through the eyepiece. Complicating this is the fact that I built and added a tube rotator, so that the rotation of the image varies, however, did not even think about it when searching / tracking of heaven but quickly becomes automatic.
