What famous people / telescopes have observed Venus?
I looked for about two hours and do not come for nothing. What telescopes are watching Venus? Or have you seen (other than Galileo)? There was a rocket to the planet? I think a lot of things about spacecraft, but, fundamentally, nothing in telescopes and rockets on the observation of Venus, or have observed the planet.
I 'm not famous, but certainly have seen Venus. There is a link to the probes that have gone there.

I have a Meade telescope to go (4.5 ") reflector, and when I look at Jupiter is a large ball of white …?
large white ball with a little red. Am player when it is low in the sky. Do I need a filter (if so please tell me what kind). Once again I am using a Meade 4.5 "reflector with my jupiter look good only major
Jupiter is setting early in those days. Things low on the horizon is going to be affected more by seeing the conditions of items that are higher. I would not worry about a filter, but the best filter I've found planets is a photographic FLD. It is a sort of magenta / purple. But it is probably difficult to find for 1.25 "eyepieces. If your scope has a" 2 to 1.25 "adapter that is positioned to the filters, 48mm photographic filter as appropriate. This website lets you check to see the conditions in your area. Since stars <http://www.cleardarksky.com/> look good, I suppose your collimation is good. Mars is starting to get up earlier, and the chances are that you can get a decent view of it around 11pm. I also suggest looking at the Orion Nebula. (M42) would be the "average" stars in the Orion sheath. Good luck with your scope. Regards, Mark
