meade telescopes parts and service

by admin on April 23, 2010

anyone ever have any luck with customer service Meade telescopes?

I called four times without reply and no response to voice mail, the part we need is not listed on the website and I am very frustrated. I would not recommend the purchase of a Meade telescope if you were thinking about it, some cheap broke into the stand, so the whole thing unusable.

I'm glad I'm not alone! A few years ago while doing a job with a 10 "Meade, we find a handful of problems and my job was to contact customer service to try to get some answers. Usually got a hold of some douchebag (Whose name really ….) I wish I could remember that not only does not really sound like he knew exactly what he was talking or what I was trying to explain, but even after being on the phone with him as 20 minutes and what is not clear that I was just a Joe Schmo and really knew a thing or two, kept asking me ridiculous questions that any idiot would know. (We had alignment problems and ask him things like: "Is the scope of the browser set up correctly?" "Are you sure you are looking at Polaris?", Etc. Yes, I am a complete idiot like you.) All I can say is, good luck! And if you finish talk to this guy, just ask to speak with someone else. If I remember his name, I'll let you know. Wayne? Maybe it was Wayne …..
