Why I can not see anything through my telescope?
I have a Bushnell North Star GoTo telescope. I got it yesterday. I made and then took him outside to search the night sky. Although I could not see anything! Every time the red dot aligns with the celestial object, for example, the moon, look through Eyepiece (20 mm) and see the darkness. It says something about looking through the telescope's main tube in the instruction manual, although I do not see why I …. I see nothing in him too. The instruction manual is poorly written. I do not see what I'm doing wrong. I took the eye of 20 mm 2 plastic tubes and remove the protective thing main telescope tube. Am I missing something here ????? Oh, and this morning (during the day) I looked through my lens when I had the form red dot scope it pointed at a tree, and I was able to see the rinsing and zoom in my eye as it is supposed to be. However, when I looked through tonight, I have zip, nothing, nothing.
The sounds not as if the scope is sighted properly aligned with the main telescope. The reason with the instructions ask you to look through the main gate, is to confirm that the image you see in the scope of Sight, is the same image in the main telescope. In general, the scope is sighted three small screws that must be set carefully so that it aligns with a objecgt correctly. You have to repeat the exercise of fitting a couple of times (Sight, then the telescope, then Sight, then telescope etc) a few times to get the correct alignment. In Second, aligning celestial objects is harder to do than aligning the ground, like a tree, which is due to the alignment error is greater In the first case, and will remain so until it aligns the sighted with the telescope properly. Repeat with the tree tonight, and sweep to an object actually bright as the moon or Venus (not sure of your location, so maybe the moon is your best shot) Be patient and enjoy
